With educator background and firm belief in human rights, I actively volunteered to raise over $52000 to establish Baba Nanak scholarship in department of Human Rights at University of Manitoba. The purpose of the scholarship is to honor the philosophy of Baba Nanak- the founder of Sikhism. The award would be offered to the most suitable candidate studying in a graduate program in the department of Human Rights at University of Manitoba irrespective of their culture, race, religion, color or nationality.
With focus on improvements in mental and physical health of community, I participated in setup of community garden in Maples Community.
